Hanami - a celebration of life

Following a tradition dating back to their 8th century imperial court, every Spring, millions of Japanese people celebrate the annual falling of the cherry blossom during the festival of Hanami. It is a celebration of re-birth and renewal, and moreover the cherry blossom was once the most revered of the symbols of the samurai way of life.

The falling blossoms symbolise the exquisite serenity of a simple & joyful life.

From its origins in the ume groves of the Chinese imperial court, through the lavish parties given by successive Japanese Shoguns, Hanami has today a worldwide celebration of life.

Based on the original and centuries old Dutch dry gin recipe, HANAMI gin is infused with the true essence of distinctive cherry blossom and herbs.
